What’s the Canadian Citizenship Test?
What is the test all about?
The Canadian Citizenship Test is a test that is required to be taken by applicants who are seeking to become citizens of Canada. The test is designed to assess the applicant’s knowledge of Canada and its history, geography, government, and society. It is intended to help ensure that new citizens have a basic understanding of Canadian values and are prepared to participate fully in Canadian society.
The test is usually taken by applicants who are 18 years of age or older, and who have been permanent residents of Canada for at least three years. It consists of multiple-choice questions, and is usually administered in English or French. To pass the test, applicants must correctly answer at least 15 out of 20 questions. The test is generally taken at a Citizenship and Immigration Canada office or at a designated testing center.
In addition to taking the test, applicants for Canadian citizenship must also meet certain other requirements, such as demonstrating a basic knowledge of English or French.
